2012 Season

Blue Collar has a lot of work for our staff, both old and new, for the 2012 season.  We have work throughout the Okanagan, Williams Lake, and Quesnel.  We anticipate a 55-65 day season for everyone interested.  It is our commitment to everyone that works for us to provide a safe, productive and lucrative season.

Company Profile

Blue Collar started operations in Quesnel in 1983. Mark Courtney, the current owner, lives in Quesnel and has been involved with the company since 1989. We are primarily a treeplanting company though we do work in other areas of the silviculture industry including stand tending, contract implementation/administration, surveys, and planting site prescriptions. Our experienced staff provide our clients with excellent quality and production results. From this our client base is continually expanding to ensure a long productive season for our employees. The BC Forest Safe Council has certified Blue Collar as a Forest Safe Company. It is our goal to ensure that all of our employees are provided with the safest work environment in the industry.

Our Culture

Blue Collar strives to provide our employees with the best work environment possible. Safety is our number one priority and we instil this objective into everyone that works with us. Fun and hard work are our next priorities. The two go hand in hand. Our cooks provide a clean and nourishing camp environment, our field management staff provide a productive quality oriented work environment and the whole team pitches in to provide the social atmosphere that makes planting memorable.
